Course Overview

Course Synopsis

This course prepares the participants to analyze varying situations in a systematic, logical, and scientific manner. Students will learn the complete process to conduct research by using different research methodologies. This course covers all the important aspects of research i-e different kinds of research, sampling techniques, focus groups, interviews etc. It develops critical thinking process enabling the participants to analyze the quantitative and qualitative data and draw meaningful conclusions for sound decision making. Students will learn to interpret data by using different statistical software. Students will also learn how to write thesis, research proposal and research report.

Course Learning Outcomes

To familiarize students with various methods used for conducting research and latest trends in the field of biotechnology through reading and understanding scientific literature, preparing scientific manuscripts, designing research projects and presenting them.

  • Sharpen your analytical skills based on objective and pragmatic investigation of a situation
  • Develop your own understanding of the research concerns relating to the general public or relating to the management of their place of work as well as to their clients
  • Develop your ability to convert their research concerns into research problem in a clear, objective, and pragmatic manner Prepare a road map or a blueprint of the research, making an appropriate use of various research methodologies and tools learn in this course
  • Conduct the research by following the complete research process
  • Develop your ability to use statistical software for data interpretation like SPSS etc.
